Karaoke???? Again????

Yup, that's right.  Office night is Thur. and will be Karaoke at TGIFriday's on Bluemound.  Account managers will get together and show off their hidden talent among their coworkers. Yessssssss!  It's a fan favorite.

Mardi Gras!!

St Louis holds the second largest Mardi Gras in the nation and will not know what hit it when KD Concepts' top reps arrive.  A contest has been announced and the representatives are going to compete for the opportunity to be a part of the party. Other offices from the Midwest will be attending the festivities, and will be providing an opportunity to network in February.  More details to come.

Snow Tubing for the fun of it!!

The Midwest offices are going to meet in Bartlett Illinois Sat. night to test their snow tubing skills.  Villa Olivia will host the event which will also be a fundraiser for Operation Smile.  The organization provides corrective surgeries for people born with cleft pallets in poor countries. Americans who have had the surgery include Peyton Manning and Joequin Phoenix.  Needless to say, the surgery has meant they can smile without a care in the world.  The same will be true for the people benefiting from the efforts of a few fun loving people in the management training program. 

The event starts at 9:00 and will end around Midnight Sat.  The team that goes down the mountain the most times will prevail and be named Kings and Queens of the Mountain.  A live band, cocktails and networking will all be a part of the fun filled evening. 

Leader of the Week

Joe Stikl started out business about a month and a half ago.  Joe has already progressed quickly through the entry level and is on his way to building a set of skills that will help him to be a successful manager in the future.  Learning to teach skills to others, Joe has not taken any detours on his way to his goals.

Joe has a strong athletic background and chose to pursue football into his college years.  He played at Whitewater along side his brother and continues to build upon the work ethic he developed as a result.  Joe was responsible for running two meetings amongst his peers this week, the same people who noticed his extra efforts and voted him Leader of the Week.  Each week, one Account Manager who is stepping up their game is voted and recognized by the others as Leader of the Week.

Great Job Joe and great meetings this week!

Lazer Tag!!!!

Last night was a blast! We played Lazer Tag in Wawautosa for office night.  Office night is an opportunity to cut loose and get to know the people in the office outside of the office.  The Blue team prevailed as they knew there was no other option.  The Red team scored 18,000 points and the Blue didn't even make it close and scored 34,000!  Teams scored by shooting the sensors of the other players and also the bases of one another. KD Concepts has a competitive group of people that take winning seriously when it comes to anything, including office night.

John Jones organized office night this week and did a great job of getting everyone pumped up about going.  Next week a top leader will attempt something even more exciting for Thurs. night. Stay tuned for details on upcoming events including office night!

Oscar Party!!!

The Oscar nominations are out and the confidence pools are beginning to buzz. Who will win best picture, actor, actress? Know one will know for sure but we'll all be taking a guess come Oscar time.  The person who gets closest to perfect will get a mini Oscar for themselves!

Tim will be hosting the dinner party/ Oscar party on February 24th.  He's a great cook and he'll be rolling out the red carpet at his place on that date. KD Concepts future managers will dress to impress as the award show will be another reason for us all to hang out. More details to come!

Hockey still exists!!

KD Concepts Account Managers will be going to the Admirals game towards the end of January. The NHL lockout may have just ended but these guys have been playing hard the entire season.  REO Speedwagon will be playing the same night on the same ticket so it will be two shows for the price of one.  Any qualified account manager will be invited to go. Good times : )

Leader of the Week!

Ryan Long is our Account Manager of the week! He is a Wisconsin native and a huge Packers fan as a result. When asked, "If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would it be," Ryan answwered "The hall of Fame at Lambeau Field," without any hesitation.  Ryan is great at keeping the mood in the office light and always has a joke to tell.  His positive attitude and good nature make him a prime candidate for management. Congratulations Ryan!

Bowling

Office night is this Thurs. night and will held at a bowling alley of Scott's choosing.  Scott and a few others will be moving shortly and this will be the last cheer for the group.  Bowling is one of Scott's passions as he used to bowl on the team in college at DePaul.

Scott's Moving Into Management!

Scott Sanhammel has met one of the goals he has set for himself and will be opening his own office next week.  Scott's hard work has paid off and he doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon. Big things will be expected from Scott as he has set the pace for KD Concepts.  Scott moved his way from the Entry Level to Management and we wish him the Best.

Buca!!!

Buca di Bepo won't know what hit it....KD Concepts will be celebrating Kristy's birthday in style.  Dressed to impress, we are going to dinner and then out on the town!

Kristy is the brains behind our #1 office and will be the guest of honor.  Gooooooooood times and good family style eating is the theme of the night.

Snow Tubing for Charity??

KD Concepts and other offices from across the Midwest are going to raise more money for Operation Smile.  This event will be held in Illinois and include a snow tubing competition!  Account Reps will go up and down the hill as many times as possible and the office that does it the most will be the Kings and Queens of the Mountain.  Being the #1 office in the nation means, we are already assuming that we are going to be taking home the Title.

The tubing event will be held at Villa Olivia in Bartlett Illinois.  Operation Smile is an organization that will provide third world country's with corrective surgery due to a birth defect known as a cleft pallet.  In the states, the surgery is routine and done without worry of cost.  The organization provides the funds and the means for people in third world countries to smile without a care for an entire lifetime.

The fundraiser will take place towards the end of January.

Office Night!!!

Karaoke is on the agenda after a long holiday weekend.  The KD Concepts Crew will gather round at TGIFriday's to see whose got the the golden pipes.  American Idol has nothing on us.  The office gets together once a week to get to know one another, loosening up the ties and more casual.  This week is Karaoke next week....Stay tuned!!
